कई लोग ‘ना’ कह नहीं पाते. यह बहुत बड़ी समस्या है. इसे कमजोरी कहना ज्यादा उचित होगा. हम लोगों के काम करते जाते हैं, उनकी बातें मानते जाते हैं, अपनी खुशियों का गला घोंटते जाते हैं, सिर्फ इसलिए क्योंकि हमें ‘ना’ कहना नहीं आता. यह शब्द हम इसलिए नहीं बोल पाते, क्योंकि हम बदले में लोगों का प्यार चाहते हैं, उनकी तारीफ चाहते हैं.हम चाहते हैं कि लोग हमें अपनाएं. इन चीजों के लालच में हम खुद के साथ अन्याय करते रहते हैं और सहनशक्ति की सीमा तक वो सारे काम करते हैं, जो हमें तकलीफ पहुंचाते हैं, हमें नाखुश करते हैं.
हम यह काम सालों-साल करते हैं. जब लोग हर चीज में हमारी ‘हां’ सुनते हैं, तो बदले में हमें विनम्र, अच्छा, मददगार इनसान आदि नामों का ताज पहनाते हैं. लेकिन यदि हमारी सहनशक्ति 10 साल बाद टूट जाती है और हम 11वें साल में किसी काम को लेकर ‘ना’ कह देते हैं, तो वही लोग हमें अभिमानी, अहंकारी, बदतमीज कह देते हैं. वे हमारी 10 साल की मेहनत, त्याग, सेवा को तुरंत भूल जाते हैं. तब हमें लगता है कि काश उसी वक्त ‘ना’ बोल दिया होता.
